Chiropractor Celebrates 40 Years February 19, 2009
Dr. Robert Zimmer is a practicing chiropractor in the Kettering suburb area of Dayton metro. He is recently celebrating over 40 years in the business, after having set up in the area as a chiropractor in 1968.
Dr. Zimmer has practiced at the same centre since 1972, and this is what he recognises as the reason for his success. Being in the same place for over 40 years has led to him becoming an integral part of the community, helping residents through tough times.
40 years in any profession is a real achievement in today’s fast-paced and changing society. However, Zimmer’s family background goes some way to explain his success as a chiropractor. Zimmer told the press that his two uncles and a cousin were all chiropractors, having some influence on his decision to get a chiropractic degree from Palmer College.
Dr. Zimmer’s philosophy of chiropractic revolves around helping people as much as possible – and to do so believes that your “heart must be in the right place”. This means more than doing a job, but really caring about each and every person that comes through the door.
Zimmer states that posture is the single best way to protect your back. And this means taking care of how you stand, how you sit and how you sleep.
According to Zimmer, exercise is also one of the best treatments and preventions for a bad back. The key to avoiding future problems is to teach people how to properly look after themselves, after which a chiropractor will relieve any suffering.
Zimmer has a daughter and three sons, is a member of the Dorwood Optimist Club, and the Ohio Soap Box Association.
